At around midnight on Friday [January 20], 21 Savage sent a very controversial tweet suggesting that women owe him sex for all his hard work. Fans quickly gathered to criticize the rapper for promoting rape culture through his tweet. Rape culture is defined as "a term used in sociology to describe a setting in which rape is pervasive and normalized due to societal attitudes about gender and sexuality." There has been a long going argument on sexual consent and the manner that promotes women as sexual props for men.
