Eight people were injured, including five children during a Martin Luther King Jr. celebration in Miami at a memorial park named after the late civil rights leader on January 16. According to NBC News, two people were detained in the incident and two weapons were recovered, but no further information has been released on the suspects.

Among the victims, a 20-year-old man is in critical condition, five other victims were listed as stable, and three children were treated for superficial wounds on the scene and sent home with their parents.
