T.I. took to social media on Monday, January 16, to voice his concern over public figures from the Black community meeting with Donald Trump, and to warn any other black leaders and celebrities who might be considering to join along, against doing so.

"Let me tell you something, there is a strategic plan that people are trying to make you a part of, ok?" he said, directing his message toward black and minority artists and athletes, in a recording he uploaded to Instagram. "People have a very Willie Lynch agenda, ok? And you being there, being seen with them, taking pictures and smiling and being positive, it may seem positive to you, but there is a hidden agenda, man."

Tip's message came hours after Martin Luther King Jr.'s eldest son, MLK III, made headlines by joining Donald Trump for a sit down at Trump Tower in New York City on Monday morning. His reference to Willie Lynch (The Willie Lynch Letter) is an allusion to a divide and conquer strategy many historians reference having been incorporated during Slavery in order to get black slaves to dislike themselves and one another, so as to have made them easier to control.

Before signing off, the "Us or Else" rap mogul advises black celebrities to refrain from meeting with the president-elect, unless they have a strategy or attend in the company of a black leader with the power to properly represent the people.
