During the BPM Music Festival which was taking place this past weekend in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, reports surfaced that there was a shooting.
According to CBS News, there are at least five casualties as a result of the shooting. The gunman also managed to wound nine other people at the Blue Parrot nightclub. Organizers of the BPM Festival released a statement via Facebook which gave more details, saying "The violence began on 12th street in front of the club, and three members of the BPM security team were among those whose lives were lost while trying to protect patrons inside the venue." Onlookers noted that the police did not show up until at least 10 minutes after the shooting began outside the venue.
