UFC president Dana White fired back at Floyd Mayweather during an appearance on FOX Sports 1 on Friday morning, January 13, telling Colin Cowherd that the retired boxing great is lying about having made McGregor an offer to fight. White said that as McGregor's promotor he would be the guy to talk to to get a fight made, but that Mayweather hasn't actually reached out to talk business at all.

White used his time before The Herd viewers to dispel several statements Floyd made concerning McGregor and a prospective fight between boxing and MMA's best. According to White, Floyd is also fibbing about Conor having never earned a sum in the $10 million range. Floyd threw the number out earlier in the week, during an interview earlier in which he attempted to give a rationale for why he allegedly offered McGregor $15 million; a sum that pales in comparison to the $100 million he is demanding. White said a nine-figure signing is a non-starter, telling The Money Team boss that he'll counter his offer with a promise of $25 million; the same amount he'd give McGregor.

Floyd has dictated the terms of his fights over the past decade, ever since he defeated Oscar De La Hoya to become the highest earning boxer in the sport. For years now he has gone into negotiations claiming the "a-side," and proclaiming himself the greater draw, thereby deserving of the greater percentage of earnings. White rejected Floyd's claim that he would be the a-side against McGregor though, declaring his man the hotter fighter.

"How are you the a-side? The last major fight that you were in, you left such a bad taste in everybody's mouth that nobody wants to see ya again," said White. "I don't understand how you think you're the a-side. And there's a reason that you want this Conor McGregor fight so bad: because you know that's your money fight."
