Atlanta rapper Yung Mazi was shot on Tuesday morning while waiting to order food at a Waffle House. The musician was reportedly shot in the chest, and his condition was unknown since police didn't identify where his friends took him after leaving the scene. He, however, decided to update his fans on the status of his health through Twitter.

In a tweet that has since been deleted, Yung Mazi tweeted, “God made me bulletproof,” along with the prayer hand emojis.

This isn't the first time Yung Mazi has been shot, in fact, he's been targeted on several occasions. Just last year, Mazi appeared to make light of being shot at after he was struck “a couple more times.”

“I just got shot a couple more times. Three more times. It’s nothing. We do it [mucho], man. I done got shot 10 times,” he said while resting in a hospital bed last year.

In another interview in June, Yung Mazi said that he named a recent mixtape “Physical Therapy” because he worked on it while recovering after using a wheelchair to get around following a previous shooting. He said in that interview that he “keeps getting shot” in part due to his skin tone, the fact that “some people don’t like real dudes,” as well as the expensive accessories he wears.

“I might walk around with a quarter-million-dollars-worth of jewelry on,” Mazi said in the interview.

A description of the suspect(s) in this shooting was not immediately available. The assailant is still at large.
