Comedian Mo Amer recently took to social media to share about a coincidence that occurred while traveling to kick off his Allah Made Me Funny UK comedy tour. In the caption of a selfie posted to Facebook, the Muslim funnyman detailed the moment he was shown his seat while boarding a flight in Newark, NJ on Wednesday, November 30, and his reaction to having realized that he'd be sitting next to the son of President Elect, Donald Trump.

"Hey guys. Heading to Scotland to start the U.K. Tour and I am "randomly" chosen to sit next to non other than Eric Trump," Amer wrote.  "I will be asking him a lot of questions on this trip to Glasgow, Scotland. Sometimes God just sends you the material."

According to Amer, their chat turned out to be a pleasant one, although he described Trump's responses to some of his questions as robotic. "He also seemed disconnected from the reality of race attacks and violence," Amer told Buzzfeed, in regards to the topic of the republican candidate's use of divisive rhetoric on the campaign trail. "The vibe that I got, this was a game to them and they had no regrets and they did it to win and they will most likely keep doing it."

After talking politics for about a half an hour, Eric Trump ate then snoozed off, Amer said. He was optimistic in reporting back that Trump rejected the idea that his father would institute a "Muslim registry" to identify and track Muslims from international territories, as was proposed during the debates. Amer told Buzzfeed that he looked at the encounter like a blessing from Allah that he had to make the most of. "For me it's like I'm not rejecting a gift from the divine. Are you kidding me? I just give it to you on a platter. Do you want to deny this whole situation? Of course not, I'm gonna jump right in," he said.
