Four days after Lil Wayne created a stir with his televised rebuke of Black Lives Matter, another one of his Hip Hop peers has put out a public condemnation of his statements. T.I. and Wayne's friendship goes back more than a decade, and the Atlanta rapper stated that much while detailing how their kids grew up together, in an Instagram post in which he expressed disappointment over having had his son and daughter show him the Nightline interview for the first time, on Saturday, November 5.  "Our relationship outside of music is what makes me sensitive to your disposition. I KNOW you wired a bit different than most other responsible adults, but still nigga U TRIPPING!!!!," wrote Tip.

"I don't know what you goin thru,or what you are attempting to avoid but this shit is absolutely unacceptable!!!! You're disrespecting yourself, bringing shame on your family name & tarnishing your legacy," he continued, before reminding Wayne that his children are watching and depend on him to lead by example. Tip then put the materialistic nature of some of the comments he made, into perspective, writing, "Bro if you don't stand for something out here, all the money, jewelry, cars, mansions bandannas & hit records don't mean shit!!!! Our people are being oppressed!!!"

Saturday's reaction was reminiscent of one T.I. had in response to dismissive comments Floyd Mayweather made about the Black Lives Matter movement back in October. Floyd suggested that Black people must begin to comply with police officers after telling a reporter, "I'm here to say that all lives matter," and within days Tip respectfully condemned his position and made a plea for him to get involved in the discourse happening around the issues of race and police violence. He invited Wayne to do the same, offering to assist him in his "growth & development," but he remained stern as well, urging that he "STOP this buffoonery & coonin' you out here doin."

"You looking like somebody who has something to gain or lose by pretending like it's not as bad as BLM making it seem & you're not aware of an issue that needs to be addressed. That's what would be considered "Uncle Tom Shit".... I know U,YOURE BETTER THAN THIS!!!!!," he wrote.
