Las Vegas is The Money Team territory. Thus it is only right that when 50 Cent swings through, he and Floyd Mayweather Jr. link up for a TMT reunion. That's exactly how it went down over the Halloween weekend, as the boxing king joined his former partner on stage during a headline performance at Drai's Nightclub on Sunday, October 30. Floyd came fittingly dressed in a suit covered with Benjamin Franklin bill prints, and 50 appeared as himself, which is enough to satisfy fans who've followed the baller tandem through the ups and downs of their decade-long friendship.

It has become increasingly clear that 2016 marks the year Floyd and 50 completely rejoiced, after their falling out in 2012. In fact, spending holidays together is as healthy a sign of a solid relationship as any. This week's convergence marks the second time they've gotten together to celebrate a date on the calendar, with their Fourth of July hang out in Miami having been an early sign that they've made peace, earlier this year.

Floyd and 50's public companionship dates back to 2006 when 50 became an integral part of the "Money Man" image Floyd's Halloween costume now personifies. While Mayweather had already established himself among boxing's elite, he had yet taken on Ricky Hatton, Juan Manuel Marquez, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao, and was just about to obtain super stardom with his impending match against Golden Boy, Oscar De La Hoya. Not only would the fight signify a changing of the guard, as De La Hoya was the sports big money draw at the time, but it would also kick off the evolution of his TMT brand, as he transitioned from "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather to Floyd "Money" Mayweather. 50 Cent was in his corner through the progression, as they flaunted their money stacks together, taunted Floyd's opponents, and walked into the ring side by side.

The very beginnings of The Money Team name comes out of Floyd and 50's relationship. It would also wind up being responsible for their bitter split when in 2012 they began taking shots at one another following Mayweather's release from prison. The TMT venture which had been in talks would reportedly fall flat, with Floyd questioning 50's initiative in having signed a couple of boxers and made a couple of moves while he was away, which he denied having given his consent for; and 50 subsequently moving on to start his own promotion. Fans watched as 50 went about entertaining the signing of Manny Pacquiao, then eventually engaging Floyd in a social media war that reached it's peak when 50 famously mocked Floyd's reading ability [an event which he later apologized for] after Floyd implied that the rapper had become irrelevant.

Back in May their quarrel's were finally put to rest when they came together on stage during a performance at the Billboard Music Awards after party. In an interview with Vanity Fair later that month, 50 described the nature of the media distorted their rifts. "Floyd and I are really good friends, but we argue like regular people argue. The difference is when we have disputes, it winds up on CNN or Instagram," he said. "I can cuss him out, call him names, say whatever I want to him, but he's my little brother."
