Surveillance cameras at the hotel where Russell Crowe allegedly choked, spit at, and kicked Azealia Banks out of his room did not catch any of the incidents on tape.

The NY rapper was hoping to further her case against the actor once she gained access to security footage, but there were not any cameras set up to record in the area where they fought. Police sources told TMZ that they went through all of the security footage in the hotel and weren’t able to find anything showing their confrontation. Banks said that she was pressing charges against Crowe last week in a statement posted to Facebook. “Grabbing them by the neck, calling them ni**er and tossing them out is not the look. NOR is spitting an acceptable form of self-defense. I will be moving forward with Pressing charges,” she wrote.

The incident occurred at a party Banks was invited to by the RZA at Crowe’s hotel suite. The Wu-Tang producer said Banks started the fight but did admit that the actor removed her from the room and spat at her. RZA told TMZ that she tried to attack a female guest at the party with a glass and that’s when Russell stepped in and “expelled her from the room.” When she tried to come back inside, Crowe spat at her, according to RZA. “Russell does spit at her. The spit didn’t hit her. If anything the spit would have got on me,” he said.
