Chicago rapper Lil Jay can be seen hanging out in jail with Young QC, a rapper who killed his own mother for insurance money, in a new Instagram pic.
The photo was posted up by DJ Akademiks over the weekend. “Chicago rapper #liljay cooling in jail with #youngqc (the rapper who killed his own mama for $200,000 in life insurance money then also emptied her bank accounts for $90,000 afterwards.),” wrote Akademiks. Young QC, whose real name is Qawmane Wilson hired some of his friends to murder his mother Yolanda Holmes so that he could get the money from her life insurance policy, according to prosecutors. Wilson and two of his friends were arrested for the murder. The rapper wanted his mother dead so that he’d be able to have full access to her bank accounts and insurance policies. QC took things to another level when he showed off some of the money he profited from his mother’s death on social media. There are videos of him throwing money into a crowd at a park, flashing jewelry, guns, and cars and saying rappers with less money “aren’t on his level.”
Lil Jay was reportedly sentenced to 5 years in prison for his involvement in a 2015 murder, according to Local Savage. His close friend and artist Famous Dex told Say Cheese TV back in February that he expects Lil Jay to be released by 2020. He also hinted at him possibly taking a plea deal to get a lighter sentence.
