A Sacramento, California women spooked locals when she was seen carrying a skull on a stick through the streets.

Police responded to reports stating that a woman was wandering around their neighborhood with a skull. When they arrived on the scene, they confronted the woman and she led them to a vacant lot where she discovered the body the skull belonged to. Police are currently investigating the deceased and hope to identify the body soon. Authorities released a statement discussing the matter. “Detectives have not released the name of the woman who was in possession of the skull and she has not been charged with anything at this time. Foul play has not been determined, therefore we are awaiting the Sacramento County Coroner’s report for further information,” the statement read. Coroner’s said they’re looking to release a report on the body sometime next week.

Sacramento police Sgt. Bryce Heinlein also vowed to identify the body and cause of death. “A call like this is not something that happens every day. We hope we can get down to the bottom of what caused this person to become deceased,” he said to KTXL news. Philip, a local who lives next to the lot where the body was discovered says the homeless woman who he calls “Victoria” lived there for years. He also described the commotion caused by the dead body. “I went to walk back there and thought, Damn! What the hell is that smell? It made me sick to my stomach, so I turned my ass around and came back here,” he said. “Twenty cop cars out here. And the cops got her out there. And they’re taking pictures of her holding a head. Then they get her hands and CSI showing up.”
