Nas’ follow-up to “Life is Good” isn’t quite finished, despite the title of DJ Khaled’s latest single with the legendary Queens rapper.

Their collaboration, “Nas Album Done,” was almost a true statement, according to A&R Kyambo “Hip-Hop” Joshua who's worked closely with him on the project. He recently sat down with Elliot Wilson and Brian “B. Dot” Miller before the opening of the Reasonable Doubt exhibition and pop-up in New York City and told them that the new Nas album is only 75-85 percent done. “It was just him traveling and involved with everything else he got going one right now, which is a lot,” he said. “Now we about to finish off and go back in, there’s not much left to do. He just wants to rewrite a couple of verses.” Hip-Hop has been involved in the creation of classic albums including Jay Z’s “The Blueprint” and the majority of Kanye West’s discography. He claims the upcoming Nas album is “some of the best stuff I’ve heard him do.”

After almost four years of not releasing any music, Nas fans finally got a bit of news when DJ Khaled dropped the collaboration with him over the summer with the title “Nas Album Done.” The rapper even talks about the creation process in the lyrics of the song. “Khaled called me when I was in album mode so I put it on hold, for the Major Key. My album done n***as wait and see,” Nas raps on the song. His last album, 2012’s “Life is Good” was critically acclaimed and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 selling 149,000 copies in the first week.
