31-year old Carlos Rodriguez was arrested Monday on one count of first-degree arson and two counts of attempted felony murder after he allegedly set his mattress on fire.

According to the arrest report, officers and firefighters responded to a 911 call around 2:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Northwest 61st Avenue reporting someone had just set a mattress on fire.  The report also said two people live in the duplex next door, and the fire was set deliberately "posing an immediate threat to the lives and safety of the occupants."  Rodriguez appeared in bond court on Tuesday but his public defender asked for the hearing to be reset, saying Rodriguez may have some "mental issues."

Rodriguez is famous for missing half of his head.  He gained notoriety in 2010 when he was arrested in Miami-Dade for allegedly soliciting a prostitute and his mugshot was posted on the internet.  In YouTube videos, Rodriguez explains he injured his head and lost a large portion of his brain and skull after crashing his car into a telephone pole, flew out the front window of the car and landed on his head.  He now answers to the name "Halfy."  In the video, he also says he was high on drugs at the time of the crash.
