Jeezy once paid for a $70,000 operation with a brown paper bag full of cash.

The rapper recently stopped by ESPN’s ‘Highly Questionable’ where he told a story about there a medical procedure on his throat ended up operating more like a drug deal. “I didn’t have insurance, so I had to do what I had to do. I was an entrepreneur at the time, so I was able to get a couple 20s and 50s and 100s and put em in the bag. I was pretty good at saving my money. I remember going to the counter and them asking for my insurance card, and I remember sliding the paper bag across the counter,” he said. The surgery ended up being a success, and his voice returned to normal after some coaching. “Shouts out to the doctor that took that cash because if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here right now,” Jeezy joked. He later said the surgery felt like a “transaction.”

Jeezy shared a bunch of crazy stories during the appearance. He once had a fan throw their Rolex watch and $20,000 on stage. The man told Jeezy he wanted him to have it because the rapper “changed his life.” Jeezy tried to give it back, but the fan made him keep it. He also told a story about when he wrecked his white Lamborghini when a Taxi driver crashed into him. To hear more check out the video above.
