Ciara is dropping her libel case against her ex-Future.

The singer apparently can’t follow through with the case because she is making too much money to claim damages from his previous attacks on social media. In order to win a defamation lawsuit, the victim has to prove that they’ve suffered financially and she is unable to do that. However, she is still suing Future for something called “false light,” according to TMZ. The singer alleged that Future made her publicly look like something she’s not. She also does not need to prove a loss of income to win that suit.

Ciara filed a $15 million lawsuit against the rapper that claimed he had ruined her reputation with defaming tweets and other actions. The judge previously ruled that they aren’t enough to prove that she was damaged. Future called Ciara a “b****” in the tweets and said she had “control problems.” He also vented about the bitter custody battle between the two. “I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future.. the f**kery for 15k a month,” he tweeted. Future initially responded to her legal action with a countersuit of his own but dropped it when he realized it would negatively affect him seeing his child.
