There are conflicting reports as to exactly what transpired between Azealia Banks and Russell Crowe on Saturday night [October 15], with Crowe's side of the story having leaked to the press by sources close to the actor, and Banks' account coming directly from her via social media. But what is known is that at some point during the evening, the two got into a confrontation that ended with Banks being ousted from the Beverly Hills Hotel. Crowe's camp says she was acting erratically; Banks alleges that he manhandled her and hurled a racial slur her way.

“To recap my night, I went to a party at Russell Crowe’s suite, at which he called me a n****r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me,” Azealia wrote on her Facebook page. “The men in the room allowed it to happen. I feel terrible today.”

Being in the company of RZA, Banks wound up a guest at a party hosted by Crowe. Rza and Banks have been spending a good deal of time with one another as co-stars in the yet to be released film, Coco. Through his work scoring films, RZA has, of course, made a lot of friends in Hollywood, and as is evident by a photo of the two posted to Crowe's Instagram page some weeks ago, he and Crowe share an acquaintance.

According to Crowe's camp, Banks was overheard making fun of the event's music selection, and at one point allegedly called he and some guests "boring white men." When confronted about her remark, she allegedly began behaving "erratically," and joked about cutting those in her presence up, in the same fashion seen in a Tarantino film.

Early Monday morning Banks took to Instagram once again and posted a message that might indicate that she's got evidence to back her own account, writing: "I have receipts. Stay tuned."
