September 27 marks the date that rap great Lil Wayne was born. Having come into the industry at the age of nine, for three-quarters of his life he's blown out the candles in the company of the Cash Money Records family that took him in. Despite the tribulations he's had to overcome, being forced to work under Birdman while fighting him in an ugly legal dispute over the past few years, it appears that he is still beloved by the Cash Money boss. Bird proved to be one of the people in Wayne's life who is most celebrating of his name on Tuesday, as he took to Instagram with a series of photographs of he and his flagship artist.

"HBD MY SON @liltunechi #BEFORE ANYTHANG," Birdman wrote in the caption of one photo, which captured them standing beside one another in Wayne's teenage years.  In the caption of another photo he hashtagged the title, "#GOAT."

By indication of the adjectives Wayne has used to refer to Cash Money during interviews and shows, his relationship with Birdman remains as strained as it ever was. This week the 34-year-old rapper received good news when a judge ordered the defense in his $51 million lawsuit to fork over a complete inventory of receipts, proving where every last dollar of the $70 million Wayne was promised a split of, has gone. On his end, Birdman has been attempting to mend relations with Wayne in hopes of having a full on Cash Money reunion for the impending release of the label's documentary, "Before Anything."
