One of the greatest golf players of all time passed away today at the age of 87.  Nicknamed "The King," Palmer was widely accredited as the man who brought golf from a sport played only by the ultra-rich in exclusive country clubs to television, where he influenced everyone to play the game.  During his stellar career, Arnold won seven major tournaments.

Tiger Woods on Arnold Palmer:

"Thanks Arnold for your friendship, counsel and a lot of laughs. Your philanthropy and humility are part of your legend. It's hard to imagine golf without you or anyone more important to the game than the King."

He passed away in his lifetime home in Pittsburgh, PA.
