Reactions have been pouring in over social media, as millions learn the news that the officer who fired on a Black man while his hands were raised, in Tulsa, was arrested and charged in his killing. One of the many passionate responses to the development came from Baton Rouge rapper, Boosie Badazz, who took to Instagram to express outrage in the punishment that was handed down. He said, "This world f***ed up," as he lamented about how justice is delivered to someone like Officer Betty Shelby, in contrast to somebody like him.

"This b***h killed an unarmed man for nothing n Tulsa / I'm watching the news about this s**t n they say if convicted she can get four years smh four years for killing somebody for nothin ... but you give my black a** 10 years for marijuana," Boosie wrote. "I think it's safe to say do not stop for the police; it's a 70% chance they will kill u n it's a 97% chance they will be found not guilty(FACTS) 4 years smh without that badge she a b***h n a half."

Shelby reportedly handed herself in and was charged with first-degree manslaughter, stemming from the Friday, September 16 slaying of 40-year-old Terence Crutcher. She was then released on $50,000 bond. The charge was handed down by the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office, which having reviewed the evidence immediately available, determined that she had "reacted unreasonably," after becoming "emotionally involved to the point that she overreacted," in the incident.
