Video has surfaced of a white man getting beat and his pants taken off during the Charlotte protests this week. The city has been in a state of unrest after police shot and killed Keith Lamont Scott, as they claim he didn't respond to commands to drop a weapon. However, Scott's family say he was holding a book when he was approached, not a gun.

Protests in Charlotte have been violent at times, with one person getting fatally shot and others getting injured. Not much is known about the events leading up to the man getting attacked in the parking garage, but Lenard Bennett, who posted the video on Facebook, offered up a few words about his thoughts on the situation.

"This is beyond wrong smh praying for my city #Charlotte. It's ok to peaceful protest but when you start looting, beating up innocent people because of race, and tearing up the city you live in NOW that's a real issue!"
