One person was fatally shot during the violent protests in Charlotte on Wednesday (September 21) night. According to reports, police responded to the shooting around 8:30 pm ET and discovered a person with an apparent gunshot wound. The name of the victim has not been released.
The ongoing protests in Charlotte erupted after police killed Keith Lamont Scott, 43. Officers claim that Scott was armed and ignored commands to drop his weapon. The man's family say that Scott had a book in his hand, not a weapon.
