While many celebrate the life of Tupac 20 years after his death, many also reflect on the senseless murder in which, TK Kirkland says rappers these days should learn. When asked about Troy Ave's Irving Plaza shooting incident, that left three wounded and one dead, the comic says that it disheartens him. "I'm extremely disappointed because of these young kids again; this younger generation should've learned something from the days of Tupac, from the days of Haitian Jack, the days of people going to jail for no reason."

Despite Troy Ave getting caught on camera returning shots, after spending time in prison, he was later bailed out and faces a costly trial. TK says that the young Brooklynite should have stayed out of those circumstances and focused on his future. "If you're in the position to get money—it's about [getting] your money, [taking] care of your family, enjoy the women you're with when you're young, and really have something for old age. They just don't f****** get it."
