Colin Kaepernick's decision to not stand while the national anthem plays at games continued into another game as he promised. Media outlets speculated if he would continue with sitting down during the national anthem on "Salute to the Military Night" while in San Diego, which the quarterback did as well. According to reports and footage, Kaepernick was booed while kneeling during the national anthem. Kaepernick wasn't the only player who sat down while the national anthem played, as his teammate, Eric Reid showed support to the quarterback. During a press conference, Kaepernick explained that he and Eric Reid spoke about sitting during the national anthem, saying "It was amazing. Me and Eric had many conversations. He approached me and said 'I support what you're doing, I support what your message is. Let's think about how we can do this together.' We talked about it at length and we wanted to make sure the message we're trying to send isn't lost with the action."

Kaepernick went on to address how the media tried to spin his actions as being anti-military, which he refuted and said is a misunderstanding. Watch above.
