Waka Flocka joined a growing list of celebrities who've come out in Chris Brown's defense, when he vocalized his doubt of the allegations brought about by Baylee Curran, on Wednesday, August 31. Waka initially backed Chris over social media on Tuesday night, tweeting #SupportCB hours after police arrested the singer for assault with a deadly weapon. Since the news of the incident broke, Curran has become the focus of skepticism, with her story being cited for inconsistencies, and her past rearing her involvement in a New York City hotel theft.

“I think that girl needs to sit her ass in jail,” Waka Flocka told a TMZ reporter who caught up with him at LAX airport. “And you know [it] if my gangster ass saying that. She needs some help.”

Law enforcement's reaction to Curran's accusations that Brown put a gun to her head while hosting her as a guest in his home has been criticized by some who've deemed it an overreaction. Upon learning that Brown was armed, a squad was sent to surround his mansion and reports of a "standoff" began to circulate the media. According to Curran, after the incident, she expressed her desire to leave the company of Brown and his friends, but they attempted to restrain her until she signed a non-disclosure agreement. Curran says she made a run for it and was able to contact police. But questions have begun to arise from her account of what happened, after she insisted in an interview that she never touched the diamond jewelry piece said to be the source of her confrontation with Brown, after saying in a previous interview that she had indeed put her hands on it.

Since his arrest, 50 Cent, Lil Mama, Keke Palmer, K. Michelle and others in the entertainment industry have expressed their concerns and support for Brown.
