August 30, 2016's "Donkey Of The Day" was TheBlaze's Tomi Lahren, Charlamagne Tha God announced during Tuesday's episode of The Breakfast Club. One day after designating the title for anyone who has attacked Colin Kaepernick for his protest of the National Anthem, the Power 105.1 co-host put Lahren on blast for, as he sees it, distorting Kaepernick's message.

"You made it a white vs. black thing when it doesn't have to be. Colin didn't bring up white people being the cause of injustice and brutality, you did. Colin didn't bring up white people being the 'cause for the problems in minority communities, you did," Charlamagne said. "And so what he had white parents, and he's half white, so that means he can't speak up for minorities?"

Lahren dug into Kaepernick during Monday's episode of Tomi, her conservative talk program. After pointing out that the 49'ers quarterback enjoys a privileged lifestyle thanks to a paycheck from a white owner and the profit of tickets and merchandise from white fans, in an attempt at mocking the notion that he is of an oppressed people. Tomi cites unemployment, homicide, the drop out rate, and public assistance in the Black community as dysfunctions she implies he ought to re-direct his focus on. At one point in the segment, Lahren got personal, making reference to his adoptive parents as white people who saved him from being raised in a broken home.

Contrary to much of the criticism that Kaepernick's action has received, Charlamagne says that he didn't see his stand as anti-military or anti-American, but as anti-prejudice; and he specified having heard Kaepernick critique the system as a whole. “I read the 20-minute transcripts. I listened to it. He doesn’t even mention white people. [Kaepernick] says there’s things going on in this country that are unjust. And that people aren’t being held accountable for it. He said ‘People!’ He didn’t say ‘white people,’ he said ‘people!’”
