Beyoncé is fresh off of performing tracks from her latest album Lemonade at the MTV Video Music Awards. Some of the tracks address current issues in society like police brutality and even mention groups looking to make change of the status quo like Black Lives Matter. Many are in support of the singer's references. However, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani made it know that he is not here for Beyoncé and her music during his appearance on "Fox & Friends."

Giuliani was shown a clip of the singer's performance which showed dancers falling to the ground at the sound of gunshots. One host of the show made it clear to Giuliani that the segment was supposed to symbolize cops killing black individuals. Giuliani responded by saying, "I ran the largest and the best police department in the world, the New York City Police Department, and I saved more black lives than any of those people you saw on stage by reducing crime and particularly homicide by 75 percent...of which, maybe four or five thousand were African American young people who are alive today because of the policies I put in effect that weren’t in effect for 35 years.”

Giuliani then went on to refer to Beyoncé's influence on the youth of today as "a shame." Watch the clip above.
