Vince Staples spoke about his musical influences during a recent interview with Hot 97, and he revealed that 50 Cent was one of the first artists he discovered on his own. He also shared that it was 50's music that made him want to start acting out violently.
The West Coast rapper went on to explain, "Then you got music that's making you feel like, "Oh, Get Rich Or Die Tryin'? Oh, well he rich, how he do it? Listen to the music. Oh so it's ok..." He went on to say that he doesn't think Fif meant for his songs to influence people in that way, but Vince points out that he was an impressionable kid at the time he heard the album.
