While Akon still has strong roots in the music industry, he has also branched out into the business world with his charitable contributions in Africa and other ventures. He recently stopped by the Hyperloop office to take a look at their futuristic transportation technology, which is projected allow passengers to go 350-miles in 35 minutes via tube transportation. In 2013, famed inventor and businessman Elon Musk unveiled the concept for Hyperloop, which featured low-pressure tubes where pressurized capsules are propelled by air compressors and linear induction.
Akon took a look at the technology with Hyperloop's COO Bibop Gresta, who showed the "Soul Survivor" artist the revolutionary technology in person, and he was blown away. Check out Akon's reaction up top.
