Many hit songs were released by Bad Boy Records, but they also have a long list of artists who have left the label. Some of the artists ended up in jail like Black Rob, G. Dep, and Shyne, some turned to religion like Mase, and some were just never heard from again. Loon, another Bad Boy alumni who both turned religious and is behind bars, doesn't blame Diddy for his misfortune.

“I don’t attribute it to Puff,” Loon said in a new profile by Playboy. “Being on Bad Boy you’re riding this tidal wave that you can’t prepare for. Like most people who ride waves of that magnitude, they often wipe out.”

Though Loon isn't upset with his former boss, he did recount some old frustrations with the way Diddy ran Bad Boy. Loon preferred to create more gritty records while Diddy wanted him to continue the style of the hit singles "I Need a Girl Part One" and "I Need a Girl (Part Two)."

“I had a few heated moments with Puff. I wanted to fight him,” he says. “But I liked Sean John Combs; I wasn’t really a Diddy fan.” In December 2004, he left Bad Boy “on a good note.”

Though Loon says he left amicably, things did not turn out well for the Harlem native. His attempts to reignite his career did not turn out as he expected. He soon began living check to check off performances and royalties, and he began drinking and smoking more. In 2008, he quit the music industry, seemingly finding happiness in converting to Islam; Loon now goes by the name Amir Junaid Muhadith. His situation, however, became grim when he was arrested in Brussels, Germany in November 2011 for felony drug charges. He pled guilty upon his extradition to the United States and was sentenced to 14 years in prison. Muhadith is scheduled to be released in August 2021, but has applied for executive clemency in an effort to get out earlier.
