In spite of critiques and objections from certain associates who've come out of the woodwork since learning of plans to dramatize the story of the Black Mafia Family, 50 Cent is moving forward with the project. The rising television producer took to social media with a message for anybody seeking to compromise the coming series, and it was delivered in the form of a letter, handwritten by B.M.F boss Big Meech himself.

"I would never give my consent, permission, or blessing to any film that is considered being done without me," the letter reads, after opening by complimenting 50's past work with partner Randall Emmett. He also acknowledges that he's been under contract with the duo for over two years, calling them the "perfect team" to bring his story to the world. "I'm the only one that can tell the B.M.F Big Meech story, so any person or persons trying to do a film is '100% faking," he wrote before signing off.

The volume of B.M.F. posts has spiked on 50's Instagram over the past several weeks. After announcing the deal to bring the series to Starz he posted confirmation that he had spoken on the phone with Meech. He would later reveal that he touched based with Meech's brother, B.M.F. co-founder Southwest T. But then there were signs of tension as he called out at least one naysayer [EF Dutton], before boasting the backing of the Black Mafia Family themselves.

The B.M.F. series will cover the rise of Demetrius "Big Meech" and Terry "Southwest T" Flenory in the drug world of the late 1980's, as they branched out from the streets of Detroit to become a national network. Their story is one that would find itself interwoven with the Hip-Hop industry, with the launching of BMF Entertainment as the organization's presence began to rear in the mainstream through its visible affiliation with such artists as Bleu DaVinci and Young Jeezy. The $270 million enterprises would see their fall in 2005 when Big Meech, Southwest T, and other B.M.F. leaders were convicted of drug trafficking charges and each sentenced to 30+ years in prison.
