Desiigner’s “Panda” is now triple platinum.
The extremely successful single made the G.O.O.D. Music rapper a household name earlier this year. The song even hit #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Def Jam posted up a tweet celebrating the feat. “Today #PANDA hits 3x’s PLATINUM still rockin’ @LifeOfDesiigner!,” the company wrote.
Desiigner’s song has been nominated for several MTV Video Music Awards which include Best Hip Hop Video and Best New Artist. He has also been nominated for several BET Hip Hop Awards. “Panda” has been one of the most polarizing songs of this year. It received an ocean of criticism when it dropped because the rapper sounded a lot like Future on the track. Other artists like 50 Cent predicted that the success of the record would hinder Desiigner from dropping another hit.
