Atlanta duo, Migos traveled up the coast to join New Yorkers in closing out their vacations with one last concert on Saturday [August 21], but those plans were thwarted when the Fool's Gold Day Off 2016 end of summer celebration was cut short. "There're too many people in this motherf—ker, we gotta turn this shit up," Quavo hollered over the packed Garden at Studio Square in Queens, as he and Takeoff kicked off their performance. Within minutes, though, the synergy between the performers and the crowd momentarily quelled, when the sound was cut.

"Yeah these scary ass cops just shut down the show, I’m pissed off. People want to see Migos; all the fans wanted to see us," Quavo told REVOLT before apologizing to fans. Migos were scheduled as the closing act, topping off a lineup of artists that included Lil Yachty, Juelz Santana, A-Trak & Friends, Dave East and others. Their set began at 8:45, and thrilled an electric audience until it was suddenly closed at 9:00 p.m. sharp on police orders. Following a lapse of time in which attendees stood around in confusion, a frenzy of "MIGOS!" chants ensued, but the show would not resume.

The group had made it through "Can't Go Out Sad", "3 Way Intro", and "Pipe It Up," before leading a "F**k 12" chant during the setback. Quavo would later suggest that he doesn't think the incident and the chant were related, telling REVOLT he thought it was "a Migos thing. I don't think it's a police thing."
