The Black Lives Matter movement has made such an impact in a short amount of time that several other groups have begun to form. An example of this comes in the form of "White Lives Matter" protesters who staged a rally at the Houston, Texas NAACP office this past Sunday. At the protest, One participant was seen holding the sign 14 Words, which is a white supremacist saying that means, “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.” The phrase derives from white supremacist David Lane, who was a long-time member of a pro-white terrorist group called The Order. Along with holding up the 14 Words sign, WLM protesters could be seen holding up the Confederate flag which made many residents of Houston's 3rd Ward uncomfortable.

Despite the racially charged protest that took place in front of the NAACP, police managed to prevent any violence from taking place.
