There's more unity in hip-hop as Prodigy and Tru Life came together and posted photos on a New York City rooftop showing that all is well, and the issues between them that spanned 17 years are over.

The beef between Mobb Deep and Tru Life dates back to 1999 when a verse that Prodigy had given to Tru Life wound up on the Any Given Sunday soundtrack, which blocked Tru from releasing his track with the verse.  Tru took the incident as a slight and the beef festered ever since.

Tru Life returned from prison this April after serving eight years for a fatal stabbing.  His release presented an opportunity for the two to bury the hatchet.

“Welcome home @therealtrulife positive vibes last night with the homies,” P wrote as a caption for an Instagram post with Tru and others including NBA player Metta World Peace.

“Part of becoming a man is being able to learn how to reconcile differences, and I thank God for allowing me and @prodigymobbdeep to grow as men and reach that point.” Tru Life wrote on his Instagram post, which was a zoomed in photo of he and Prodigy standing side-by-side.

In a documentary short detailing the beef, Tru Life recognized that perhaps he was too prideful in taking Prodigy's moves personally and regrets retaliating through violence and crime.  The rapper has his own documentary coming soon that can provide more details and answers.
