Charlamagne found himself siding with Joe Budden on Friday [July 29] and agreeing with his assessment that "everything about Drake's behavior is lame," when Joe's cameo on Uncommon Sense became all about his rivalry with the Views rapper. While Joe chalked up his counterpart's passive aggressive response to the direct disses sent his way, to the difference between the way their respective generations approach to the culture, Charlamagne put it all on Drake himself.

"See, this is the thing. The thing that changed my perception about Drake last year was the fact he handled Meek so hip-hop. It was the fact that he handled it with bars. It looked real G," said Charlamagne. "But when you showed me those Instagram messages he sent you in your DM's, it takes me right back to the guy who I think was, you know, using a little feather to tickle the bottom of people's toes."

Apparently, Joe has been holding on to some messages that indicate Drake might be privately provoking him while attempting to avoid having the subliminals tossed between the two escalate on wax. Joe concurred as Charlamagne shaded the OVO boss, acknowledging that the Uncommon Sense host was airing something he couldn't say, but seemed to suggest he had no intention of outing the contents of the actual DM's after Charlamagne spilled the beans. According to Charlamagne, the messages consisted of a picture of Joe crying, an invitation for the Jersey rapper to attend one of his shows with as many guests as he pleased, and a prayer that Drake said he was sending up to him.

"I'm just from a generation that doesn't behave like that. I just expect If I'm rapping at somebody, for them to not DM me a bunch of soft stuff," Budden said.
