Drug kingpin Anthony Christian was sentenced to prison for the murder of two of his rivals in the Park Hill housing projects of Staten Island. According to U.S. Attorney Richard Tucker, Anthony Christian was the reason for a 20-year reign of violence at the Park Hill projects where movie-like gunfights took place. During his hearing, Christian's legal team tried to push to see if there was any connection between the murders of Jerome Estella, Corey Brooker, and the Staten Island group Wu-Tang Clan. For those unaware, some of the Wu-Tang Clan members hail from the Park Hill Projects, which they have shouted out on numerous records.

Despite his request, Federal Judge Eric Vitaliano rejected the request made by the drug kingpin. The judge reviewed FBI reports from over ten years ago where investigators previously tried to make the connection between the murders and the Wu-Tang Clan but ultimately moved away from that theory.

The Wu-Tang implication may seem random, but according to reports an informant made a claim saying one of the slain rivals had robbed a relative of Wu-Tang boss RZA, while the other slain rival allegedly shook down RZA's brother. Christian's defense lawyer Michael Gold said he wanted another hearing to see if there was any Wu-Tang Clan connection to the killings of Estella and Brooker based on investigative reports. Despite being sentenced, Christian maintains that he did not murder anyone, saying "May Jerome Estella and his mother know…I never killed nobody."
