Who would have thought that in the week NFL teams reported to training camp [July 22-July 30] for the 2016 season, Marcus Vick, whose professional football career lasted all of one game a decade ago, would be the most trending name the sport has produced? Vick made headlines twice on Tuesday [July 26]; first for accusing Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy for allegedly giving the mother of his child, and ex, Delicia Cordon herpes, then for a body cam footage that leaked to show the former Virginia Tech prospect being chased down and apprehended by cops.

The video showing the later incident, documents the moments before Vick, [who is the younger brother of legendary QB, Michael Vick], was arrested for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest, in April. Vick was approached by the officers over a warrant for his arrest. They are said to have conversed for several minutes before he attempted a sudden getaway, pushing the two officers out of the way and making a dash that prompted a chase for several blocks. Vick eventually submitted himself for detainment, falling to his knees and being placed under arrest at gunpoint.

Although he did fail to comply with police orders to lay flat on his stomach, he didn't put up a fight when wrestled over and cuffed. Later, he would plead guilty to resisting arrest and would be sentenced to a year behind bars, with 11 months suspended, but 12 months probation.
