Desiinger recently sat down with All Def Digital to explain the meaning behind his new song "Timmy Turner."

The rapper claimed it was a story he invented that illustrated his struggle. “Timmy Turner is me. You feel me. I was referring to myself. And I was saying I was wishing for a burner. And I when I said she f***ing for BET. I was referring to a girl that would do anything for the fame. Then I would say in the song that I know that my soul is in the furnace. Because I know if I wish for the burner. And she knows if she wish for the fame you know you’ll go to hell,” he explained. “So that’s what I was saying. It was like a storyline. About a little bit of my struggle and the pain I was feeling at the moment.” The chorus first appeared in Desiigner’s XXL Freshman Freestyle and made headlines for its lack of bars, and interesting reference to this person named Timmy Turner. Despite criticism, Desiigner said he was happy with how it was received and wanted to give it to his fans. He also said that it was always a song.

Producer Mike Dean stepped into the interview and a noticeably high Desiigner gushes about meeting him for the first time at the airport. Dean constructed the chords that were later used for Timmy Turner. The two said they’ve been collaborating a lot recently and have more music on the way.
