J. Prince might have taken a shot at Birdman while accepting an award at the GoDJAwards this week in Houston.

A video recently surfaced of the mogul’s acceptance speech where he brought up Birdman’s now-infamous Breakfast Club interview. “The people I see out there, ya'll look hungry. You know what I mean. A lot of people look hungry out there and I’m hungry up here. It’s a beautiful thing. Let’s just respect it. We don’t wanna go around and beg nobody to put no respect on our name. Because we already respected. We not them kind of people. We put respect on our own name. Therefore we don’t gotta do no plea bargaining. Just know that and represent that. I’m with you one love,” he said.

J. Prince is the CEO of Rap-a-Lot records and the father of Jas Prince, the man who discovered Drake and brought him to Lil Wayne. Jas Prince recently sued Cash Money for unpaid royalties on Drake. The two parties settled in 2015. It was reported by TMZ that Prince was owed $11 million by the label.
