Will-i-am thinks that killing cops is not the response black people should be taking to police brutality.

The rapper recently spoke with TMZ where he said blacks need to build-up their communities to stop police violence against them. “I don’t know how to respond to that, I don’t think that’s what we need,” he said regarding more cops being killed if officers aren’t convicted of murdering black men. “At the same time, I feel their pain.” He followed that up by revealing what he believes is the solution to this issue of police brutality in black communities. “I think we need to put our energy into building up our communities ourselves. Building them to be affluent and thriving like the Brentwood’s. [We need] businesses, good schools. It’s a 20-year plan. We’ve never thought that far. To where we could build industry. And when that happens, there ain’t no cop problems. Because ain’t no cop problems in Brentwood or Calabasas, there’s cop problems in the hood.” To hear more of Will-i-am check out the video above.
