Sheriff David Clarke, an outspoken conservative law enforcement official from Milwaukee, blasted the Black Lives Matter movement while speaking with Don Lemon on CNN this week.

Clarke, a regular Fox News Contributor, aired out his grievances about the three police killed in Baton Rouge last week, and the 5 murdered in Dallas earlier this month. He also called Black Lives Matter “hateful” and said their rhetoric is based on a lie. “First of all, this whole anti-police rhetoric is based on a lie. There is no data that proves any of that nonsense,” said Clarke while speaking about the harsh treatment of blacks at the hands of police. They went on to debate if the data spoken about recently by President Obama, which says blacks and whites do not receive equal treatment under the law, was accurate. Clarke claims it was debunked by the Washington Post, and Lemon admitted that it had its flaws. “The President has been lying about it. He said it again the other day when he said black males are two times morel likely to be shot by law enforcement officers than white males. Don that is a lie,” Clarke continued. They went on to discuss a Harvard study that allegedly made the claim that police treat whites and blacks the same when it comes to aggressive shootings, but different on all other crimes.

Clarke then redirects the conversation to the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri in 2014. “Let’s go back to where this whole thing started in Ferguson, Missouri. The lie was 'hands up don’t shoot.' That’s where this whole phony [Black Lives Matter] movement started. He then challenges Lemon to condemn what he says is anti-police rhetoric coming from BLM’s “hateful ideology.” Lemon refuses to condemn it publicly, while Clarke reveals how he feels about it holding nothing back. “I condemn it,” he said. “Just like I condemn the hateful ideology out of groups like the KKK. There is no place in American discourse for that sort of vile, vitriolic hate coming out of this ideology. It has fueled and fanned the flames of this anger towards American police officers.”Clarke goes on to explain that he believes the police are the only people in America that truly care for blacks because they risk their lives each day trying to protect them.
