Baton Rouge, Louisiana has been in the news a lot lately since the shooting of an unarmed black man named Alton Sterling by police in front of a convenience store. Most recently, the city saw six cops shot by a man named Gavin Long. Three of those cops were killed from their wounds. There was much speculation behind the motives of the 29-year-old shooter who was a former Marine sergeant.

Now a video of Gavin Long has surfaced where he speaks about his affiliations. In the video he says "I wanna let Y'all know, don't affiliate me with nothing. I'm not affiliated with the black business school even though I might promote their business. I was also a Nation of Islam member. I'm not affiliated with it." Long was also wearing a Money Team hat in the video as well, but he made sure to separate his ties to them, saying "Don't affiliate me with the money team. Something happens, and they'll be like 'Oh he was with Floyd Mayweather. No. Don't affiliate me with nothing." Long went on to say that he is "affiliated with the spirit of justice, nothing more, nothing less."

The shooting happened this past Sunday when police officers responded to a call about a suspicious person who was walking down the highway with an assault rifle.
