Selena Gomez is very disappointed in the entertainment industry as a whole and recently voiced her opinion about Kim Kardashian’s recent leaking of a call between Taylor Swift and Kayne West where they discussed his controversial lyrics in his song “Famous.”

Gomez took to Twitter yesterday to let her fans know that she isn’t happy with the treatment of her friend at the hands of West and Kardashian. “There are more important things to talk about...Why can’t people use their voice for something that f***ing matters? Truth is last thing we need right now is hate, in any form,” she said. “This industry is so disappointing yet the most influential smh.”

Gomez and Swift have been good friends for years. The controversy all started when Kanye West released the song “Famous” back in February which featured the lyrics “to all my southside n****as that know me best, I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex cause, I made that b***h famous”. Shortly after its release, Taylor came out and said she was offended by his lyrics and even took a shot at him during her Grammy Awards acceptance speech. At the time, both West and Kardashian claimed she approved of the lyrics on a phone call. Swift continued to deny that until recently.

Kim released a recording of that phone call yesterday on Snapchat which shows Swift approving of some of the lines about her in the song. The clip is about 3 minutes long and shows Kanye tell her about the line “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex.” Swift wasted no time responding to the claims made about the video and said the line which truly offended her, where Kanye calls her “that bitch,” was not shown in the video. She can be heard in the clip calling his line very “tongue and cheek." Kanye is seen telling her that “relationships are more important than punchlines.” She even thanks him for the heads up and brags about flowers that he sent her.
