Meek Mill responded directly to Joe Budden’s recent diss record aimed at him and Drake on Instagram early this morning.

The Philly rapper took to social media to let Budden know that he wasn’t worried about the recent shots he took at him. “He’s been dead since 2003 it’s evident..We don’t talk to dead people unless they presidents,” he wrote. Meek Mill is most likely referring to the last time Joe Budden had undeniable hit records with “Pump it Up” and “Fire” back in 2003. In the midst of 50 Cent’s domination of the rap game that year, a young Joe Budden was able to cut through and have a bonafide hit thanks to the production of Just Blaze on both tracks. After things went sour at Def Jam during the making of his sophomore album, Joe Budden went the independent route and never looked back. He stayed relevant in rap circles with his “Mood Music” series and re-emerged in the mainstream when he was on the reality TV series “Love and Hip-Hop.”

Budden seems to be a fan of Meek and Drake’s music, however, after a critique of both of their most recent albums, the two young rappers were frustrated with Budden and threw a few shots of their own. Joe’s latest diss record, “Making a Murderer Part 1” is a response to those shots. From Budden’s perspective, the two young rappers can’t take an honest critique and blew their top for no reason. He even has a few bars for Jay Z on the new track. Budden already responded to Meek’s post by sharing an article talking about it and writing “God is Good.”
