As co-host to radio agitator Charlamagne Tha God on The Brilliant Idiots podcast, Andrew Schulz can hold his own in a conversation on Hip Hop music. And if there were anything he'd particularly know about, it's controversy. In an exclusive with ComedyHype.com on Tuesday [June 28], the Guy Code comedian accessed his knack for identifying the cutting edge when he was prompted to come up with a rapper he imagines Katt Williams would be, if he rhymed. "You wanna know who he'd be? Katt would be Eminem. Katt would be Eminem," Schulz said.
"Remember when Eminem was kinda getting f***ing arrested and like, he was always causing beef with somebody, saying something to piss off somebody and he was constantly in the news for like, the wrong s**t, but still killing it," he continued. "Because Katt's a genius, like, people sleep on Katt. But Katt is a beast. You know, as far as like, stand-up, Katt is a beast. So, maybe Eminem."
Schulz batted down the comparison to DMX that was supposed by the interviewer, implying that X was practically out of the game when he fell into a perpetual cycle of run-ins with the law. Fans will recall that Em went through his own tribulations in the early 2000's, when he was in and out of court over a series of gun charges, including one for pistol whipping a man he caught kissing Kim outside of a Michigan bar, and another which involved a confrontation with Insane Clown Posse. Katt has since slowed it down, but he began 2016 with arrests through April.
