50 Cent was arrested for cursing on Saturday night [June 25] in the Caribbean island of St. Kitts, where using profanity in public is a misdemeanor. Shortly after being booked he was released on bail.
Reminiscent of what happened to DMX when he performed in the former British colony in 2003, 50 was in the middle of a set when he went and rapped the word "motherf****r" right along with his lyrics. He had been reciting his verses over one of his recordings, of which the DJ apparently didn't have a clean version of. Rather than skip past the word or duck the mic when the lyric came up, he is said to have put some emphasis behind it.
50 had reportedly been warned to refrain from vulgarities before the show. He was taken into custody after the show and put through the system at the local police station. He can not leave the island until after he sees a judge on Monday.
