The CIA responded to the recent conspiracy theory that said the Gucci Mane released from prison is actually a clone.

A spokesperson for the CIA recently responded to a news inquiry from BuzzFeed about the alleged cloning. “internet rumors are not news and the Office of Public Affairs will not waste time and them,” said the spokesperson. Science also has weighed in on the crazy rumor. Jeannine Mjoseth, a spokesperson for the National Human Genome Research Institute said science just doesn’t have that capability right now. “Despite several highly publicized claims, human cloning still appears to be fiction. There currently is no solid scientific evidence that anyone has clone human embryos.”

Gucci Mane recently responded to the rumor himself in an Instagram video. The rapper made sure to have a little fun with the conspiracy theory. “I’m hearing that Gucci Mane is a clone. I will neither support, nor deny those accusations,” he said. A fake news website is responsible for the rumor. The site, ThingsUthink.com, posted a story up about a fabricated Lil Boosie Breakfast Club interview where he allegedly said that Gucci Mane is not the person he used to know. “I rock with Gucci the long way but that ain’t the real Gucci, we both sitting in the studio and he seemed lost and after his show at Mansion he called me Herman […] You know they can do that crazy clone s*** these days, you look at Gucci and tell me that’s Gucci and ill pay yo child support and yo baby momma rent,” the fake report read. Breakfast Club host Charlemagne the God said the interview never happened and scolded fans for not believing that Guwop could straighten his life out.
