Diabolic dropped a diss track to Talib Kweli this week, which addresses their recent Twitter conflict, race and the Blackstar rapper’s career.

The track titled “IneKwelity” flips Kweli and Mos Def’s 1998 smash “Definition,” and features Diabolic dropping straight bars about his newfound nemesis for around 4 minutes. “1 2 3. Rest in peace Talib Kweli. Crying like make it stop. That s*** isn’t hip-hop. You hoe,” raps Diabolic. He also goes in on Kweli’s career, “Yeah you popped off once. Stock dropped off jump. So severe your whole career’s become a sophomore slump,” he said.

The beef between the two started on Twitter back in April when Diabolic butted into another beef Kweli was having with Staten Island Wu Tang affiliate, Remedy. Both Kweli and Remedy went on a Twitter tirade after the the latter emcee asking the “Get By” rapper is he would call himself “pro black, racist, or both???” during an arguing on social media, Diabolic got himself involved after Kweli asked his followers, “If a white rapper asks a black rapper if he’s pro black racist or both, he’s saying I’m racist for being pro black.” Diabolic responded by blasting him for his perception of white rappers. “I’ve been checking this all day..I can’t keep my mouth shut anymore. You generalize entirely too much and need to check yourself,” wrote Diabolic. The two went back and forth and Kweli eventually addressed the conflict in an essay on Cuepoint titled “When ‘White Fragility’ Affects Rappers: The true tale of why Remedy and Diabolic need to have several seats,” which Diabolic addresses the essay in the new track.
