Chris Brown gathered his followers on social media on Thursday [June 23] to clear his name after allegations of assault were leveled against him in a lawsuit filed by a former manager. The "No Romeo No Juliet" singer is battling accusations of assault, battery, false imprisonment and international infliction of emotional stress in relation to a complaint by Michael "Mike G" Michael Guirguis, the singer's former manager who claims Brown attacked him before the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday (June 23).

“Just as Brown’s career finally was on a steady upward trajectory, Brown viciously attacked Mike G — the man who stood by his side without judgment,” the lawsuit reads. According to the defense, Mike G was brought on board to help tidy up the R&B star's reputation three years after his well publicized infliction of domestic abuse against Rihanna in 2009. Guirguis maintains that he was pursued during a time of desperation, in which Brown was dealing with legal issues and a drug habit; an addiction that according to Guirguis, would drive Brown to brag about the attack on him, in which he allegedly struck him repeatedly in the face and neck, and use the violent account to threaten the same repercussion against other employees.

Brown laughed off the accusations, stating: "Ok, you knew it was coming... n****s is getting mad and filing lawsuits because I fired them because they're stealing money!” he said in the video. “You're stealing money, pal. So, you're mad because you're no longer existent. It's all right. I'm going to keep pushing.”
